Why I Love Being a Houston Wedding Photographer

Well first and foremost I love taking photos that tell a story. I love being able to catch the emotions and feelings on that special day for my couples and their families and friends to be able to look upon for years to come. But that’s not what this post is about. One of the reasons I love being a Houston Wedding Photographer is because of the wonderful people I meet. Not only am I talking about the wonderful couples I get to work with but also the other vendors in the industry. I had the pleasure of having dinner with some of them last night and it was a blast. A group of about 40 vendors in the Houston wedding industry met up at Ambrosia Crossing a new venue in Hempstead, Texas. And can I just say it was gorgeous. Now the following photos don’t do it justice because I didn’t have any of my cameras with me, so I had to rely on my phone. Lets just say that my phone is not one of the latest models and the guilty is not the best. I know teaches me to always have a camera with me right ?!?!?! That being said. I just want to reiterate what a beautiful venue this is. All I could think about while wandering around is what an amazing wedding day couples will have here. Of course the photographer in me couldn’t help setting up bridal and couple shots in my head with the pretty surroundings. Inside they have a beautiful “alter” that could be looked at as rustic and elegant at the same time. We were told they can seat a little over 200 people at tables with an area for a small dance floor inside, I believe. Outside there was just too much to look at. There is a beautiful tower, a fabulous water feature with a number of small ponds and flowing water. There were even some cute coy fish. The venue also has a vineyard and lots of open fields but of course I wasn’t able to get photos of those. However here are the few I was able to get: And lastly a shaky cell phone video of the water feature I mentioned above.   As you can see for yourself this venue is absolutely marvelous. If you are engaged and looking for a venue I strongly suggest checking it out yourself. If your not engaged but know someone who is please share this post with them so they will know about it.
